From Capital to Capability: Defence and Dual-Use Innovation in Estonia and Latvia
On November 6, UniLab joined "From Capital to Capability: Defence and Dual-Use Innovation in Estonia and Latvia".
Huge thanks to the NATO DIANA Estonian Accelerator at Tehnopol for hosting such a great event bringing together builders, investors, and end-users of defence and dual-use technologies across our region.
The key-note and panel by Rihards Miķelsons (Nacionālie bruņotie spēki, Latvian National Armed Forces), Egita Polanska (Outlast Fund), Dr. Daniel Carew (Archangel Ventures), Magnus-Valdemar Saar (SmartCap), and Vootele Päi (Tehnopol) covered honest insights from testing and procurement to collaboration and funding - giving early-stage founders a rare opportunity to ask direct, practical questions and connect with experts.
For us at UniLab Defence, this gathering was an inspiring look at what’s to come and what's possible when we collaborate, as we prepare to launch the NATO DIANA Latvian Accelerator in 2026.
We’re grateful to all the organisers, speakers, and attendees who made this event such a success! Especially, a warm hug to Sabina Sägi for making this happen!
