🚀 UniLab Defence is taking shape – and it’s just the beginning.
We’re proud to announce the launch of UniLab Defence, a pre-acceleration program built in close collaboration with Riga Stradiņš University, Riga Technical University, University of Latvia, Latvia University of Life Sciences and Technology, and the Ministry of Defence of Latvia.
This initiative marks two major milestones: it is the first dedicated defence accelerator in Latvia and it is also the first step toward becoming one of the official NATO DIANA accelerators.

In 2025, UniLab Defence will support 5 early-stage startups developing defence and dual-use technologies – innovations with both civilian and defence applications.
Participating teams in UniLab pre-accelerator program will gain invaluable market insights, specialized training tailored to defence industry, opportunities for corporate collaboration, and platforms to showcase their capabilities to potential partners. Each selected team also has a chance to receive equity-free funding.
In 2026, this opportunity will grow to include 10 startups.
